Bandied about since the mid-1970s, the concept of a completely paper-free work environment, both a much-lauded and a much-derided notion, is, after years of being the paper elephant in the room, finally becoming a feasible reality.
“I think most firms are either running paperless offices to some extent already or at least are in the process of converting to one. It’s the future—it’s where we’re all going,” said Michael T. Chapman, who, along with his Rochester Chapter Technology Committee co-chair James Rodola, organizes the Rochester Chapter’s Technology Update, an annual event providing members with information on the latest technological innovations.
